Cougar Craze on Local News
Posted on 18. Feb, 2010 by John Roblinsky in Cougars Everywhere
It’s just science folks. At least that’s how DC’s local ABC News broke it down in their Wednesday Feb 17th afternoon broadcast. WJLA got George Washington University Psychiatrist Dr. Suenna Massey to comment:
“In my opinion, I think it is a good thing… it reflects a more acceptable of the changing roles in our society.”
She goes on to explain that the trend is the manifestation of women being more financially independent and as they age, “nature may be sparking the attraction to the younger man oozing, virility, vitality and fertility.”
The story ends on a bit of a downer though as reformed cougar Jennifer Thornton expresses the downsides to dating young-ins:
The younger guys want to be there for the fun and going out and the sort of joyous times, but the minute I’ve encountered something difficult they tend to leave.
